Waltham network security company Digital Guardian has acquired Code Green Networks of Sunnyvale, Calif. for an undisclosed sum.

Digital Guardian specializes in securing the endpoints of corporate networks – the desktop, laptop, and server computers where data is ultimately used. Code Green builds security products for the storage systems and servers at the heart of the network, where vast amounts of sensitive information is stored.

The deal will give Digital Guardian a more comprehensive line of security products, while giving it a foothold in Silicon Valley.
