New Jersey-based Dun & Bradstreet announced this afternoon that it has acquired Waltham-based contact data and marketing data management company NetProspex.

The amount of the deal is $125 million according to a statement from business insight firm Dun & Bradstreet. The company will continue to operate out its Waltham office and will be called, creatively, Dun & Bradstreet NetProspex. NetProspex chief executive Michael Bird will stay on as the general manager of new subsidiary.

In a statement, Dun & Bradstreet chief executive and president Bob Carrigan said, “Dun & Bradstreet already provides our customers and partners the most comprehensive view of companies around the world, and now our customers can reach the largest, most accurate set of decision makers and decision influencers.”

“This acquisition fills a growing need for marketers by providing an actionable view of companies and the people who run them, putting quality relationship insight at the center of their marketing data strategy,” he added.

In April of last year, NetProspex closed a $13 million Series C round of funding.
