In his appearance last night on “The Daily Show” with Jon Stewart, Cambridge tech entrepreneur David Rose, author of the book “Enchanted Objects,” only got one question before Stewart brought up the elephant in the room: The coming uprising of the machines.
Here’s a portion of the interview:
Rose published “Enchanted Objects: Design, Human Desire, and the Internet of Things” — about how everyday objects can become more intelligent and helpful — in July.
In May, Rose raised $2.2 million for his Cambridge startup, Ditto Labs, which scours photos on Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr to identify consumer brand logos for big companies. He also serves as a lecturer and researcher at the MIT Media Lab.
