Cambridge’s Thinking Phone Networks has acquired a 15-person cloud services provider based in Portsmouth, N.H., Whaleback Managed Services.

Terms of the acquisition, which brings Thinking Phone to a staff of about 200, were not disclosed.

Thinking Phone provides unified communications services that are based in the cloud and are used by businesses to fill needs such as mobility (including smartphone and tablet support), voice, text messaging, and video.

Whaleback provides communications services to businesses such as telephone, conference, and messaging. Thinking Phone will keep the Portsmouth office after the acquisition, a spokesman said.

The company has raised $32 million in venture capital funding since its launch in 2006. Investors include Advanced Technology Ventures and Bessemer Venture Partners.
